Despite calling in the National Guard last month, New Orleans continues its rise toward pre-evacuation crime rates. In the past 24 hours, 6 people were murdered.
An illegal immigrant who goes by the alias Gasper Almilcar Guzman was convicted of raping a 14-year-old Alabama girl in 2005 and sentenced to 5 years in prison, although he was deported before serving his time. Earlier this month he was found back in the US when he was arrested during a traffic stop in Athens, PA.

Ramon Hernandez, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, is suspected of smashing his 3-week-old baby’s head against a wall for crying. The baby, Judith Najera-Hernandez, suffered a fractured skull and brain injuries and is not expected to survive.

A recent episode of “Thirty Days” invited Minuteman Frank Jorge to live with illegal immigrants for 30 days. The final cut of the show leaves the impression that the Minuteman has weakened his views on border enforcement.
