Illegal immigrant Eddie Carbajal-Lile is accused of killing 17-year-old Paul B. Watry in a hit and run. Witnesses say Carbajal-Lile had been drinking before the wreck. Two teens in the car with Watry were injured, 18-year-old Scot Mueller and 18-year-old Jillian Fitzmaurice.

Judge Frees Immigrant Suspected of Molesting Baby

Liberian immigrant Mahamu Kanneh is accused of molesting two girls, including an 18-month old baby. The judge in the case ordered Kanneh to be released. Immigration officials placed a detainer on the man and are now detaining him.

The family of a five-year-old girl tackled illegal immigrant Alberto Escobar after they say the girl’s mother caught Escobar kidnapping the girl through her bedroom window.  Escobar lived in the same building and worked with the victim’s father.

Immigrant with TB Threatened to Walk Out of Hospital

Francisco SantosAfter being diagnosed with tuberculosis, immigrant Francisco Santos refused treatment and said he would walk out of the hospital and head to Mexico, risking exposure to others with the contagious, potentially deadly disease. Santos was taken to jail and placed in a medical isolation cell. Officials are investigating his legal status.

A witness says Rodolfo Godinez, a suspect in the Newark triple murders, admitted to being a member of MS-13, a violent immigrant gang. The witness says when police led Godinez away, he yelled, “MS-13 forever.”

New Jersey Police Required to Report Illegal Immigrants

New Jersey police are now required to check the immigration status of suspects involved in serious crimes and report illegal immigrants to the federal government. The decision comes weeks after the alleged involvement of an illegal immigrant in the execution of 3 college bound students in Newark. Illegal immigrants in New Jersey are also suspected in a series of other recent murders and sexual assaults.
