Immigrant Arrested in Highway Dragging Death

Abdelaziz Hamze, a Lebanese immigrant who is now a U.S. citizen, has been arrested and accused of dragging a woman to death after a hit and run wreck. The victim, Sandra Hall, had been dragged for over two miles, leaving a bloody trail on the highway. Hamze was caught at JFK Airport apparently attempting to flee the country.

Update: There is conflicting information about whether or not Hamze is an immigrant. The Sun-Sentinel article says he’s originally from Lebanon. A blog entry says he was born in the US.

Florida state Rep. Juan Carlos Planas of Miami is calling on state Rep. Don Brown to publicly apologize for referring to illegal aliens as illegal aliens.

Two Girls Killed, Illegal Arrested for DUI

Illegal immigrant Alfredo Ramos, already convicted of a previous DUI, is accused of killing two teen girls in a DUI wreck. Seventeen year old Allison Kuhnhardt and sixteen year old Tessa Tranchant were stopped at a traffic light when their car was struck from behind.

In the prior DUI conviction, Ramos received a $250 fine and his illegal status was not reported to ICE.
